The Story of Brazilian Soccer Club

Brazilian Soccer Club was founded by Head Coach Roberto Iwashita with a clear vision: to introduce children of all nationalities in Okinawa to the authentic art and passion of Brazilian soccer.

What began over 18 years ago at United States Marine Corps Base Camp Foster has grown into a thriving international soccer community now based at Kadena Air Force Base. From its humble beginnings to its continued growth today, BSC has remained committed to excellence, structure, and opportunity for every player who steps onto the field.

At Brazilian Soccer Club, we provide a complete developmental pathway through three progressive programs: Soccer School (BSS), Soccer Academy (BSA), and Soccer Club (BSC).

• Soccer School introduces young players to the joy of the game while building strong fundamental skills in a fun and structured environment.

• Soccer Academy focuses on steady development, helping players refine technique, grow in confidence, and prepare for higher levels of competition.

• Soccer Club represents our competitive stage, designed for committed athletes ready to challenge themselves, compete at advanced levels, and pursue long-term goals within the game.

Through consistent training, mentorship, and competitive experience, our players grow step by step toward higher levels of the game.

Over the years, more than 80 athletes have continued their journey beyond Okinawa — earning scholarships, competing internationally, and advancing within the sport.

Beyond weekly training sessions, BSC creates meaningful experiences that extend far beyond the field — including international tournaments, summer camps, beach soccer events, futsal programs, and specialized clinics.

At BSC, soccer is more than a sport. It is a pathway, a community, and a journey built on passion, discipline, and opportunity.
